You have your seven magazines and you make them last.įinally, what makes it so great and unique, is that you can swap between all six team members at any time, directly commanding them for FPS, but the team members continue to follow whatever AI you set for them. It's tricky to pull off, but feels so good.Īlso, each soldier only has whatever weapons you select at the beginning of the mission: no ammo caches, no picking up enemy weapons. You can use a lone sniper to scout out the enemy location then set up an ambush having your other two teams act in unison. It's extremely detailed, you can chain commands, give orders about how aggressive/stealthy your individual squads act plot out paths to approach (including an angle of fire once they arrive) for each team, then order them to hold and wait for your command before they execute the plan. You can give the teams orders on the fly, using a tactical interface to plan assaults/movements. For each mission/level you can take up to six squad members who can be divided into three teams. What makes it worthwhile is the team mechanic.
Tanks, in particular, will have you abusing your save slots. It's difficult almost to the point of unfairness, with enemies shooting you as soon as they see you, and you die to one shot (but so do enemies).
